Well after all the selling it was time to buy... so I bought the mazda 2 as you know and mainly to go with this..

Mazda mx5 2.0 sport in winning blue.

Had it 1 day and already fitted rota wheels which are stupidly light yet strong as it's the ones used in the mx5 race series along with federal 595 rsr tyres which are THE best tyre for this car. It's also had a race manifold and remap.. I've added a race exhaust. Next up is some carbon brakes..Yes I know.. and it's booked in for race suspension next week..you may notice a theme here. I massively underestimated the mx5 until I drove one and got to say it's unbelievably good. Anyhow.. I know a few with think I've gone mad but hey ho.. it's summer so roof is down and I'm really pleased with it

    Couple of pics..

    Madness...... Hairdresser now?? Haha

Looks good rich. My father in law had one it was like a go kart and fast enough. We done the complete exhaust, lowered it, rx8 anti roll bars. He only sold it cause he had a itch for more power...

Similar story, had a few of these accompany us on a recent track day and they are so much fun it was hard to ignore, after a little looking into potential for mods etc and what they could achieve the decision was made to part ways with the vectra and replace it with this as more of a summer/track toy. Already lowered and an aftermarket backbox, soon to have a race cat back setup on it. Plans in the pipeline for remap, race manifold, race suspension and what not but they will be happening later in the year over the winter break most likely.

Cheers mate, tbh having met you that doesn't surprise me in the slightest haha

Lmao, in honesty that is exactly how we have viewed them for years but its just such a laugh. There are pretty much bolt on kits to turbo or supercharge and they become absolute beasts but they can become problems on track, breaking supercharge belts is common and cooking turbo's also, hence sticking with the n/a setup for the forseable. Tho it may happen at some point haha
