Nothing but regrets and salt
placeholders - can admin add ability to edit my own thread - have I lost this?
Went for an Estate 150 XP1 on 112k, was cheap as had 2 issues:
1 - Issue with Gearbox making noise going down into 3rd
2 - Bumper is damaged.
Was in South Wales and went on a road trip to pick it up with me driving trusty 05 FakeLift.
was fine throughout the long drive back with my mate driving, minute I touch car the problems start.
4 Weeks of pain to follow.
As soon as I enter car I start it, PAS Failure.
Weeks of trying to work it out go on, fuses, wiring testing, even changed the pump - but no matter what no communication to PAS ECU once engine starts until PAS power plugs are pulled.
Voltage drop noticed on a CanLine - then later lost Comms to ECU, by a fluke after 2 weeks got car to comm with ECU and start, was noticed if you punch the scuttle the speedo comes back to life - queue another wiring fault.
Long story short.
PAS power loom although correct V was faulty and replaced.
1 CANBUS wire from behind ABS plug faulty.
Pics of some pain below:
My leaky repair of the snapped leak off pipe I broke:
Some worst bits:
2 dodgy tyres:
Imagine a million swear words:
After losing ECU it wasn't making any sense, the day I got it fluke-running I dumped it at a garage who after another 2 weeks managed to solve 2 different wiring issues at same time.
Replacing bits I damaged or removed:
Parts of Dash
Some Small Upgrades from the Preface/Fakelift:

Testing Hatch roof loom to prove loom is cause for Ultrasonic sensors not working and interior lights not coming on unless pressed.

Some read this Aaron lol.
Plenty of work gone into her and plenty more to come but will be all worth it
It isn't worth it really lol, but too far along to stop.
Don't play the drama queen mate, u know this will be a better car in the log run although I have to agree I did always have a soft spot for the hatch
Haha no. It could be depending how much I blow.
Time will tell. Be happy once its had some TLC mech wise/body wise.
Will be a transformation
