Didn't really plan to make many mods to the new motor, but the more I look at it the more I see potential! So may as well start a diary to track my progress!

Bought two weeks ago, standard cdti 120 on an 07 plate with 83k on the clock.

Didn't come with any service history, only had two owners, the first being lease way (I believe they went bust), the second an elderly gentlemen who has had it the past 4 years.

Clutch and dual mass flywheel has been done two months ago, assume that was why the previous owner traded it in (he didn't tell the dealer who bought it!)

Few pics of the day I picked it up

First job was the air box mod. Think it might be due a service looking at the state of the air filter

Then a good clean of the engine bay

Gave it a wash and wax yesterday but wasn't particularly pleased with the result, looked a bit dull.

So next job was full clay then polish. Came up lovely, its all in the detail ed lol

Final job for today was to de badge

Next on the list this month are:

Full service and fit a k&n.
    Cambelt and water pump
Get a parcel shelf / towing eye
Fit a new steering wheel cowling as current one slightly damaged

    Next month:
    Remap

    Month after:
    Lowered

Gonna get some new wheels as the current ones have been kerbed and painted but not gonna bother with a refurb just gonna keep them for winter.

Front bumper had a crack in it so that sounds like a good excuse to get a new one lol

Well finally got chance to do a few bits today!

First things first - new door speakers - old ones out of the vec B but fit perfectly lol

Then changed the pollen filter, think it may have been a while lol

Also fitted some new mats, and for £2.49 they are epic lol. They look tidy though to be fair! They were £9.99 but came up as £2.49 so that was a bonus.

Also got some other bits still to do before PVS:

oil and filter bought just need to do it

Fuel Filter bought just need to do it

Ordered the paint for my front irmscher splitter as typical its not a standard item.

Ordered a rear VXR bumper insert from VX, special order though so they are gonna let me know when its due to arrive, hopefuly it will be next week then I can spray at the same time as the front and get it fitted.

Another special surpise ordered too just need to wait for it to arrive but will be on for PVS :)

Still to do in due course:
irmy Grill (nick you better hide your keys at pvs lol)
Lowering springs and shocks (Yes Dre I know Eibach springs and Blistein shocks lol)
    Stainless Dual exhaust
    Remap.
Light smoke tint on all the windows

Then job done, Aint proper modding it, will look sweet with just those few tidy mods.

Also started a proper detail today, but only a quarter of the way through as had a proper busy day. Gonna do a detailing guide for anyone who might be interested with pics on the way through the process and products etc. Might be useful to someone. Quick pic after wash, clay, wash, compound. To be finished tomorrow lol
