Steering Heavy Gsi 2.5

    steering was heavy when I had the car so it went to workshop for check , not the "uj" so went for new rack , still heavy so replaced pump ..still same .
    ? would the pressure sensor be faulty , if so would itt not show on the dash ? cheers

    One would think a steering place could check the pressure. How are the strut top mounts? Any creaking or groanin?

    Depending what you're used to the steering in the vec b is particularly heavy. Try turning it without the engine running then try it with the engine running, if it's lighter then everything will be fine. I'd imagine it's had all new fluid since you've had a new rack and pump.
