Decided as the 2.2 direct was dead, and id had enough of it breaking so often, id get a new car.

Managed to find a nice 08 plate 1.9 cdti.

Im thinking before i sell the 2.2 on ebay as junk, maybe i could take off some parts that might be useful for the new vec.

Any ideas if the bonnet struts will transfer to the facelift bonnet having to hook it on a stick is a drag!

Im hoping the insignia washers i put in will swap over too...

Swap the aftermarket reverse sensors should be easy.

Biggest thing i need advice on is the towbar, i have no need of it but the new vec has one fitted, from what i can tell its bolted through the boot floor.

Any ideas how/if it can be removed?

Insignia jets will swap no probs.

Bonnet struts won't. This is because on the facelift they made the bonnet out of Aluminium so being a lot lighter it doesn't need the struts. I belive omega ones fit (only need one I think)

Can't help u with the towbar though
