After finishing the garden today I managed to get the bumper and trim back on the car. So had a few hours spare and got carried away with the machine polisher. I used Evo 3 on a microfibre cutting pad on a DAS6. The pictures speak for themselves. I finished it off with some cobalt to bring the shine out. Some dressing in the wheel arches and a bit of tyre foam worked wonders!

Great find & health to enjoy. Love the reg. If you stick Opel badges on it you would have a Loopy 'O' on 2 levels. [IMG] Solid start to refurb. Looking forward to updates.

Sorry guys, not been on for a bit. I had the displeasure of someone crashing in to me. Wrote off my 3 serious and buggered my leg in the process so been busy dealing with that stuff and not doing much to the car.
However, got the car in for an alignment and 4 new tyres. still wasn't steering correct so I put it in to a garage I use time to time and they picked up that the nearside wheels was sitting further in to the arch than the offside by quite a bit. I'd told the garage who done the alignment that I'd had the subframes off but they obviously haven't bothered adjusting them correctly.
Anyway, going to need to get it up to a garage that comes highly recommended to sort my steering issues as it all appears alignment related.

The car is looking quite tidy but is booked in for a respray in august although I might need to push that back a little bit now. Interior is quite tidy but a couple of small tears in the seats and carpet I want to sort. I've been picking up a fair amount of spares from my mates scrappies so that's been handy. Including a cdr500 with code to replace the ccr600.

The interior panels rattle and clunk. Just as they should for a 16 year old car!!!! It's great fun to be out driving it although I won't push it (e.g I've sat at 50 in the nationals) until I get the alignment sorted, but they attention it gets is cracking. Almost everytime I park up someone comes over to talk about it.
I've obviously done it right with it :)

Bit of a delayed post, fired a new radiator into the vec and gave her some new spark plugs too.
I've just taken her out there for a little leg stretch. Completely blown away. Feels like a brand new car (apart from the interior rattles) :p
I've got another month of fun with it then it'll be going to bed for the winter. I've delayed the re-spray just now because of other priorities, and the fact I went out and bought a jag xf, so the mrs is scrutinising my pennies :D
