I'm using genuine vauxhall discs and pads on my 345 front and 292 rear setup and I get whiplash if I stamp on the brakes.

You can't beat genuine parts just remember to ensure you keep up to date with fluid changes as this is just as important as changing your discs and pads

dont really need bigger brakes unless your putting out some serious power, would suggest just upgrading your discs n pads. cross drilled/grooved discs such as brembo, ebc or black diamond with upgraded pads (check when ordering they are suitable for power of your car). uprating the calipers and braided brake lines make a huge difference as well. try total vauxhall magazine/ demon tweeks for ideas and price guides and scour the net for better prices. remember this aint cheap!!! not sure, maybe other guys on here might know but maybe the brake set up from a trashed vxr might fit

Im planning on using Pagid pads and disks tonight. They seemed to have some reasonable reviews. As long as they arent made of cheese and stop me, Im happy :)

I had some bosh pads fitted to the rear of mine and the one side rattled all the time so less than 100 miles later. It was a trip to the vaux for some OE pads. Now no probs at all so would stick with Oe.

all the time, had problems with pagid what ever euro car parts sell brake wise is rubish
delphi used to be vauxhall main parts supplier from factory but it changed some years ago as i fitted gm disc and pads to my astra and they were screaming untill i changed then for delphi

I use Delphi discs and gm pads found to OK with good wear on pads and discs seem to last well. I also use 308's on front of my vectra i thin k they make a difference over standard 288's. I think new pads and discs were £100 plus p+p

Just had 2 of my Vectra B's done (within the last 6 weeks) with APEC front and rear discs and pads all around.

Got a set of APEC front and rear discs and GM/VX pads already for my Vectra B SXi ready for when that comes off it's SORN soon.

Also my daughter's Astra Mk3 and Mk4 have had APEC front discs and GM/VX pads fitted. And my Astra Mk3 has APEC front discs and pads.

Have found APEC to be a good quality product and at a reasonable price as I get them for so much less than Trade Price :whisper:from a local supplier. thumbs_up

Bit dusty on the front alloys is the only downside.
