I am so sorry mate, I hate letting people down, especially as you, as you have been so patient with me regarding the spoiler.

also anyone can make an excuse up about how hard up they are and give sob story after sob story, and that's not what I want to do. I shall pm you when I am back at home to discuss....I don't what to do it all over here publicly. Andy.

small update time - not that anyone reads this i dont think :(

Replaced the stainless mid section for a racetube due to how it was sitting, turns out the mid section i had is in 2 parts,
and one half wasnt far eniough inside the join, hence it was pushing the backbox too far out so it wasnt sat on the hangers properly!
so thats gonne be sorted this weekend, good job too as the racetube is far too loud :/

Picked up a set of genuine rubber mats that i had been after for ages off Ebay, new speaker grills now fitted too.
I have a new rear bumper trim on its way as well after i butchered the last on up

Noticed it is starting to use a bit of oil, had the check oil level sign on and sure enough, it was low.
Its not burning it though as theres no blue smoke, No leaks, nothing in the water, do these engines tend to use a bit like most GM lumps??
Im not gonna start doing major work and throw money at it, its 16 years old, and only has to last me till the rest of the year until it is replaced with something newer
till then il keep it looking nice and enjoy it!

Its not going bad Neil thanks, I have swapped my omega alloys for a set of facelift GSI alloys and a GSI front bumper with a lad i know, the bumper is in mint condition but is silver, so i am gonna spray that up as soon as i can :) it also has omega washer jets which is nice!

also going to refurb the alloys but i dont know what colour to go for, im thinking gold maybe?

collecting my G cams on wednesday then having them fitted next month along with cambelt :)

car looks crap at the moment - alloys are marked to hell, front bumper oesnt fit, its filthy and the calipers all need painting along wih the rear drums on the disks which have started to go the usual rusty colour haha

A bit of work to be getting on with then! All sounds like good work planned although have to admit the only gold alloys I've ever liked were those on the scoobs. White, silver or anthracite would look good on yours.

Il have a trip to halfords and see what colours stick out and decide haha.

Cant say im looking forward to fitting the bumper - i think it has had a front shunt at some point which has nudged the slam panel back a bit, i noticed this from the alignment of the bolts and the fact the OS headlight doesnt clip in to the side properly, so il get the hammer out and see what i can do. im assuming this is why the bumper doesnt fit right at the moment :(

I ordered some new inner wing arch liners yesterday as well as the bottom clips broke off!

Does the preface irmscher lower grill and foglights fit the facelift bumper does anyone know?

Ph1 grill will fit ph2, but there will be slight gap at each end. It won't be a tight fit as ph2 grill would be, ph1 bumper grill is shorter then the ph2 irmy bumper grill, I had ph1 grill on my old ph2 and it never bothered me. Fogs will also fit but brackets need replacing to ph2 or might just need modified as there again slightly different to the ph2 brackets, hope that helps

Ah wicked thanks pal, i guess i could fill the gap out with something if i dont like the gap, How much of a gap are we talking?

Can the preface spots be removed from the brackets and placed onto the facelift brackets? or are the whole units different?

Fogs can just be taken off and swapped onto the ph2 brackets, it's not much of a gap tbh fella it's only little sorter than the ph2 grill, nobody will know it's a ph1 grill unless there looking up close.
