What's in the box?
Clue No 1
(See below for clue No 2)
I think clue No2 slightly gave the game away.
So as you know there is still a slight aircon leak and looked to be coming from the join between condenser and drier.
Although car had a new condenser fitted a couple of years ago, I decided to replace but this time complete with drier in place. Being fitted next week and fingers crossed, aircon leaks will be no more.
Beautiful motor you've got there mate
Love New parts
Back in again today and new condenser and drier fitted. New compressor, new pressure switch, new seals and now new condenser and drier. Fingers crossed this will have solved the aircon leaks once and for all!
Looks like this car wants for nothing! How come you switched to the f23? I have had both types and preferred the longer gearing in the F25 was awesome for coming off the slip road at 100+ in 3rd on the autobahn
Keep up the good work
Thanks for your kind words. There are better examples out there but I'm doing my best.
I wanted a more racier close ratio gearbox with bottom end grunt and more torque as this suits my driving style. A better getaway and faster acceleration too.

When I saw these come up for sale in a post on a fb group, I couldn't resist the temptation!

Meanwhile the ice instal goes from strength to strength.
Your best is all anyone can do ! From what I can see you should be well proud, excellent work mate
Im liking this setup mate what amp is that wouldnt mind one like that to go in same place for mine
Thanks. It's made by In Phase and I bought it from a place called Ice Box which have since shut down I believe. You can still buy In Phase amps although I think my model (1204) is discontinued now.
Thanks mate ill have a look around see if can find one
Well, that's the car in now for its respray. Hopefully no nasty surprises. All the doors and bootlid are being replaced with second hand items but which are virtually rust free. Andy won't know till he starts pulling it apart how bad the quarters, wings and sills are but fingers crossed.
Photos below deliberately show all the bad points so can compare with finished article.
I'll post up progress shots as and when I can. I've asked Andy to take as many shots as possible and send them to me so I can update this thread. In addition I'll get down there as often as I can to check on progress and take more photos.
Hopefully all goes well mate and look forward to seeing the finished results
Cheers mate and your boot lid finally getting finished! It's taken a while but it's taken this long to save the dollars. I've spent so much on this car. Okay, a lot is labour but so be it, that's my choice and I think the trade off with the 1000s I've spent on labour is a well sorted motor that's gonna last.
Will look gd when its finished mate and well worth the money youve spent on it mate glad i was able to help u out with the bootlid im going to start a full restore process on mine once ive got it running again have it all sorted and sprayed
